Training Methods
Dropset
perform an exercise to muscular failure, then immediately reduce the weight and continue lifting until you reach failure again
Super Set
perform two different exercises back-to-back with little to no rest in between
Giant Set
perform three or more exercises consecutively targeting the same muscle group without any rest in between
Pause Rep
hold a lift (like a bench press or squat) completely still for 1 to 3 seconds at the lowest or most difficult point of the movement
Stop Rep
perform the eccentric part of the movement and then stop, allowing the body to relax before re-engaging to perform the concentric part of the movement
Training Splits
Push
Shoulders, chest and triceps.
Pull
Back and biceps.
Upper
All of the upper body.
Unilateral
One side at a time.
